gapybara is out now! 🦫✨

Apparently we managed to release it exactly one week after International Capybara Day. We’d love to say that was carefully planned … but discovering we’d missed it by seven days somehow feels entirely appropriate.

This is the final release in our little “gap” trilogy. The same lyrics appear once again, but this time they’ve been transformed into something altogether stranger: squeaky chipmunk-style vocals, bouncing pop energy, a chorus of tiny mice and, of course, an unhealthy number of wonderfully shuddering capybaras.

The video might be my favourite part. It’s built around a point-cloud scan of a little plastic capybara, constantly dissolving and reforming in flowing, dreamlike ways. Somewhere between a toy, a memory and a glitch.

As with the previous two releases, it’s another exploration of how the same words can become something completely different simply by changing the musical and visual context.

If you’ve got a couple of minutes to spare, come and spend them with some very chilled (if slightly wobbly) capybaras. I hope it makes you smile.
